This project is a good example of a mix/mastering hybrid. Dominic sent me a decent amount of stems from his mixes for the tv show. From there, I can add my own eq, compression and effects to individual stems and make the composers mixes a bit wider and more dynamic. After that, the mastering pass happens. This is a great way to get a more polished mix before the mastering process when either budget or time don’t allow for a mix before it goes to air.
