In the past, I have created craft signature cocktails to go along with my projects. They’ve been inspired by the music, the scores, or the people. Here are a few recipes!

The Quarterback Sneak
Inspired by a Bose x NFL commercial, 2014
2 oz. Makers Mark Bourbon
1/2 oz. Red Vermouth
1/4 oz. Maple Syrup (more if you’d like it sweeter)
3 drops of Angostura Bitters
Mix the above ingredients in a large chilled vessel with a few ice cubes. Pour into an Old Fashioned glass filled with ice. then add…
1-2 oz. Bundaberg Ginger Beer
1 cherry and a slice of lime with football laces for garnish.

The Tusk
Inspired by Kevin Smith’s Tusk
2 oz. Silver Patron Tequila
1 oz. Cointreau orange liqueur
1/2 oz. of Red Vermouth
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
No garnish needed for this. It would only get in the way when you ask for another.

The Tokyo Ghoul
Bloody, fleshy, strong… Inspired by Tokyo Ghoul
2 oz. Sake
2 oz. Japanese Whiskey (In this case I chose Nikka Taketsuru 12yr)
Blood Orange
In a cocktail shaker add ice, sake & whiskey.
Cut the blood orange into quarters and squeeze the juice from one of the quarters into the shaker & drop the rind in as well.
Shake vigorously to chill the ingredients.
Serve in a martini glass and garnish with a slice of blood orange.
Simple… but deadly.

JB19
Inspired by the hardworking people on Justin Bieber’s Believe
1 oz. Hendricks Gin
2 oz. decent Champagne
4 dashes of Angostura Bitters
1 dash of Cranberry juice (for sweetness and color)
Stir gently with ice
Garnish with a cucumber slice

The Red Whistle
Inspired by my work with Johann Johannsson on Prisoners
1 oz. Dark Rum
1 oz. Firewater Cinnamon Schnapps
1 oz. Hazelnut vodka
A splash of Frangelico
Shake quietly with ice and pour into your favorite tumbler.

The Gatchaman Bomb
Inspired by the bombastic score of Gatchaman
1 oz. Dry Sake
1 oz. Dark Rum
1 oz. Makers Mark
1 oz. Orange juice
2 oz. Red Bull
Mix thoroughly with lots of ice and garnish with a slice of orange
